Fancy Nails!! - Dripping Gold
Matesse Elite Nail Polish - Mint Ice Cream
Matesse Elite Nail Art Paint - Gold Glitter
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat
1. Apply two coats of Mint Ice Cream to the nails and allow to dry.
2. Apply a good amount of Gold Glitter Nail Art Paint to the tips of the nails. Use the brush to drag the polish down the nail bed in uneven clumps so it looks like the gold is dripping down the nails. This Gold Glitter Nail Art Paint is easy to manipulate with the thin brush and if you use enough polish the first go around you shouldn’t need to do a second coat. Allow to dry.
3. Apply OPI top coat.

Deborah Lippmann - Fashion
Deborah Lippmann - Boom Boom Pow
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat
On Monday I went to the CFDA Awards. I wore a bright orange dress so I wanted to keep my nails pretty neutral and minimal.
1. Apply two coats of Fashion and allow to dry.
2. Apply Boom Boom Pow to the base of the nail bed, close to the cuticle. Use the brush to drag the polish up the nail bed slightly so most of the gold glitter is still concentrated at the base of the nail. This polish only extends about half way up the nail.
3. Apply OPI top coat.

Crystal Stickers by Mark Richards - Rhinestones
1. Apply two coats of I’m Not Innocent to the nails and allow to dry.
2. Using the tip of a bobby pin and white polish make spot on the nails of various sizes. You will be able to control how big or small the spots are by how hard or light you press with the bobby pin.
3. Apply a rhinestone to a spot on each of the nails. I did two rhinestones on my thumb nails and middle finger.
4. Apply OPI top coat
*Thanks to Carmel for giving me this idea!

Deborah Lippmann - My Old Flame
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat
Crystal Stickers by Mark Richards - Stars
1. Apply two coats of Mint Ice Cream, while using a tissue to wipe off the polish on the top part of the nail.
2. Apply two coats of My Old Flame leaving the moons exposed.
3. Apply OPI top coat, sticking a star rhinestone in each nail as you go.
NOTE: Try using paper hole reinforcers to block off the moons if you are having trouble doing it free hand. Just make sure the first polish is completely dry before you do this. Practice doing it free hand though. I wasn’t good at it at first either, but now I find it easier than using hole reinforcers.

Matesse Elite - Graphite Shimmer
Matesse Elite - Cream Pearl
Matesse Elite - Blue Shimmer
Opi - Yoga-Ta Get This Blue
Matesse Elite - Neon 7 Thunderbold (magenta)
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat
1. Apply two coats of Graphite Shimmer and allow to dry completely
2. With a small nail art brush apply small irregular splotches of Cream Pearl concentrating in the center of the nail.
3. Again with a small brush apply Blue Shimmer around and lightly over the Cream Pearl. You don’t want this to look too perfect.
4. I don’t have a shimmery purple polish so I mixed Yoga-Ta Get This Blue and magenta. Obviously having one polish would be much easier. Use this color to add light irregular splotches around the Blue Shimmer.
5. Apply a top coat
NOTE: Don’t use a lot of any of the polished because you don’t want to completely cover over the black sparkled polish, which acts as your night sky. Apply all of the polishes thinly so you can see through them.
Fancy Nails!! - Spring Stripes
Butter Nail Lacquer - Wallis
Deborah Lippmann - I’m Not Innocent
Deborah Lippmann - My Old Flame
Matesse Elite - Sunburst
Matesse Elite - Thunderbolt
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat

2. With a long, thin nail art brush apply My Old Flame in randomly placed stripes to the nails.
3. Repeat the above step with Thunderbolt, then Sunburst, then I’m Not Innocent, then Wallis. Try not to put the red and yellow polish next to each other, it kinda looks like McDonalds colors otherwise.
5. Allow to dry and paint with a top coat

Butter Nail Lacquer - Wallis
Mattese Elite Nail Art Paint - Solid Gold
Mattese Elite Nail Art Paint - Gold Glitter
OPI - RapiDry TopCoat
1. Apply two coats of Wallis and allow to dry completely
2. Apply Solid Gold polish to the tips of the nails and drag about half way down the nail bed. Use the point of the brush to make the polish uneven where it meets Wallis so there is not a hard line at the seam. Allow to dry.
3. Apply Gold Glitter to the area where Wallis and Solid gold meet. Make sure to bring the Gold Glitter slightly onto each polish so the seam disappears completely.
5. Paint with a top coat

L.A. Girl - Black Matte
Matesse Elite Nail Art Paint - Black
Small black rhinestones
MASH Nail Art Tweezers
I saw a photo of matte black polish a week ago and was like I. need. to. own. that. now. So now I do because that is how shopping on the internet works.
1. Apply two coats of black matte polish
2. Using a nail art tweezers, hand lay small black rhinestones over the nail of each ring finger until they are completely covered. This is going to take some patience. The polish may start to dry, if it does use a dot of black nail art paint on the spot where you are placing the rhinestone.
3. Once all the rhinestones are applied press them with your finger to make sure they are firmly set into the polish.
Note: Only use a top coat if you have a matte top coat, otherwise it will ruin the matte finish.

Nicole Miller FW12
CND Shellac - Plumville
CND Shellac - Anchor Blue
CND Shellac - Bicycle Yellow
CND Shellac - Electric Orange
These nails were created by Jan Arnold, founder of CND, for the Nicole Miller show. Taking inspiration from the textures and patterns of the line, Arnold wanted the nails to act as an accessory. As a girl who doesn’t wear jewelery, this is a concept I can get behind. She used Plumville as the base and then used a very thin eyeliner brush to make the colorful swirls.
